If you want to use a custom domain, you can buy one from here or anywhere else and use the domain for your blogger free of cost. You can add gadgets to your blog from their huge stock. Some popular gadgets are HTML addition, stats, followers, label, search etc. You can design this blog site easily. You can add feed, audio, news, offer etc. and much more. You can follow blogs of other sites through 'follow' tab on your account's dashboard instead of going to those sites. You can also create pages in your blog.
You can earn by placing google adsense ads, google affiliate network ads and third party ads even using the sub domain and not paying to blogger.
